In addition to our online data collection applications and survey research services, Strategic Research Innovations (SRI) provides a wide range of database applications and data services. As with our research services, we are committed to providing the attention to detail necessary to truly serve our clients' needs, facilitate efficiency, increase their capacity, and realize their vision.
Data Entry Applications
A data entry application is an ideal way to turn paper based information into a powerful data repository. It also allows you to decrease storage and increase redundancy.
At SRI, we provide both standalone and online data entry applications which allow you to seamlessly transfer paper based information into well organized, mineable data. This allows you to immediately increase the value of your information.
We have provided data entry applications for a range of clients including:
The Poulation Health Group (PHR) at the University of Waterloo (now the Propel Centre)
- Created a data entry application for the input of form based survey data
- The application allowed for double entry of data, with each entry then being compared to correct data entry errors
- The application provided input validation to minimize errors and enhance data quality
University of Waterloo Survey Research Centre (UWSRC)
- Created a data entry application used to enter invidual participant information from households participating in a research study (each household could contain multiple participants)
- The application generated back end reports which resulted in a 60% time savings over the previous reporting process
- The application was also used to transpose individual participant information in order to automate mail merge processes for participant mail outs, reducing the mail out processing time by 80%
Database Applications
In addition to data entry applications, we provide database applications for all types of solutions. Our key focus in designing all our applications is to improve business processes through automation and efficiency. We also look to design and build applications for our clients which are both scalable and flexible.
Our previous database application clients include:
International Tobacco Control Group (ITC)
- Created an application used to manage the budgets for all research projects conducted by the ITC
- The application converted the previous process of using numerous unlinked Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- The database application was created with reporting features which allowed ITC management to more effectively track group expenditures
Parks Governance Research Group
- Created an online application which allowed users to sign up for an online survey
- The application validated and recorded user information (name, email etc.) and then assigned and provided a survey link to the user
- The application ensured that users could not sign up for the survey twice
- The application provided reports to monitor and track survey signups for any required timeframe
Data Mining and Analysis
At SRI, we also provide data mining and analysis services. These services allow you to gain a different perspective on data that you already have. We assess the validity and integrity of data you already collect. We can then present you with valuable information that you can use to your organization's advantage.
